This quite easy route, which climbs the beautiful pillar that can be seen on the right of the photo, requires all the classic technics of alpinism : We will use our hands on the rock and our crampons on the snowed slopes above.
One should be fitted to reach the summit 1350 m above the Sélé refuge at 3847 m.

The first day, 3 hours of walk are necessary since the Ailefroide village to reach the Sélé refuge. Next day, the ascent last around 5 hours and approximately the same for the descent in the valley.

This is a "big route" with no very difficult passage but quite long and impressive. One must be effective and find the good way. The high mountain ambiance and the splendid view on this very high Ecrins ridge will satisfy mountaineers.
