Icefall training course on a weekend or on 3 days :

The training course is open to everyone : from initiation to advanced training on big icefalls. The programme: pedagogical workshops on ice basics to the preparation for a big icefall in autonomy. The programme will be fixed according your desires and your level.

Level requested: To be in good shape.

Number of participants:

2 maximum , for reason of teaching efficiency, but also to be able since the first day to climb multi pitch icefalls and so enjoy the beautillest !

This will allow:

- To clinmb in first or second position.

- To be quickly corrected .

- To remove the waiting time at each belay.

The typical programme :

The Saturday: Appointement at the gîte around 9 o'clock: gears checking.We will begin by workshops about ice basics and security.

We will then climb an icefall : if possible a multi pitchs one.

The objectives will both technical :

-footwork and foothold,

-positioning of anchoring…

and psychological :

-control of emotions,

-risk evaluation…

At the end of the afternoon : briefing, biers, and sauna for them who like !

Sunday: We will follow the pedagocical course on other icefalls. It can be the good day to try a pitch in first position.

The place: The Hautes-Alpes, is the place to find mythical icefalls : from the very well known Fournel or Freissinières valleys to the nice Aup Martin or Val d'Escreins places, hundreds of icefalls are available .

When: All weekends from December to March according the conditions.

What gears for ice climbinb ?

My price :  280 € per day , = 140 € per day and per person.

This price included:

• -my fares,
• -the common gears use (ropes, radio , first-aid box ,...) .
• -plus few services : personal gears loaning, transport between the gîte and icefalls.

This price does not included : the rest ...

• -The gîte (optional) : we will choose it to be as close as possible from the icefalls the most in conditions. It costs approximately 50 euros for the weekend full board with the saturday night,
• -the optional renting of gears,
• -drinks and personal expense ...
