“To find his way”

Winter covers the mountains with its inviting white coat, attenuating its sharp edges and modelling its slopes.

My purpose will be to lead you toward beautiful slopes but above all to limit the risk.

I will also try to find the good advices for you to make progress.

Off piste training course: 2 to 3 days in the Ecrins country: La Grave- la Meije, Serre Chevalier, Montgenèvres, Puy St Vincent, Queyras stations

You are longing to ski nice slopes full of white powder in security with a mountain guide.

The stations of La Grave - la Meije, Serre Chevalier, Montgenèvres, Puy St Vincent or Queyras offer many wilde places.  There are so many possibilities that it is very rare we could not find good snow conditions on slopes adapted to your level somewhere !

The region enjoys ideal weather and snow conditions due to many climatic influences : it can be snowing at La Grave and be very sunny in the Queyras and conversly !

The larch forests are also a fantastic refuge for the ski when the avalanche risk is high.

The "Dôme des Ecrins" at ski

It is a very beautiful summit and its north face usually offers a very good snow.

One must not underestimate this 1000 m ascent. We will have to cope with the altitude and sometimes with the coldness. We will also have to carry some high mountain gears : harness, crampons.

High mountain summit as the Dôme are usually climbed from April to Mai for mountain condition purposes. It is also in April that the road from Ailefroides to the "Pré de Madame Carle" begins to be opened.

The "Dômes de Monetier" at ski

It is a very nice ski traverse in high mountain that can be achieved in one day if we use the Serre Chevalier Monetier ski lift.

After crossing the  "Col de la Montagnole" to reach the Echauda lake, we will ascent 900 to 1000 m on the glacier toward the "Pic du Rif" at 3500 m on the Dômes. The 2000 m descent in the Tabuc valley is  exceptional. We will reach directly our leaving point at Monetier.

The "Calotte des Agneaux" at ski (3664 m; slope at 45°); Return or descent by the Davin couloir

It is one of the nicest ski tour in Oisans, because of the views on the Calotte ridge and because of the big slopes for the descent.

The first day we will go to the "Alpe de Villar d'Arène" refuge : It is also possible to use that day to go towards Chamoissière summit.

the next day we will have to climb the 1600 m towards the "Agneaux" with the last 500 meters with crampons. We can return by the Calotte or traverse to the Casset village to ski the famous "Davin" couloir.
